When I worked in the Ohio Supercomputer Center at the Biomedical Interface Lab, our group collected Lidar data of the Rotunda in Mammoth Cave. We converted this data from a point cloud to a textured mesh, with the hope of allowing physically disabled geoscience student to get some field experience by exploring the cave without risking injury.

My role in this project was to add VR support for the Oculus Rift Dev Kit 1 & 2, enhance the textured mesh using Maya, and provide advanced interactions with different areas of the cave.
